Justin Bieber and his supermodel wife Hailey Bieber had a secret wedding ceremony back in September of 2018 to officially get hitched. Now they want to have an actual wedding ceremony, but they plan to keep it small. The couple are looking at fall dates, and the location still has not been decided upon by the power couple. While we expect the wedding to be of the smaller variety, it is hard to know how small is small for a couple of their pedigree. Those details should unfold in the coming weeks.
Bieber has been focusing on his mental health over the last few months and on being the best father and husband he can be. He has not had a new album in a few years but recently just dropped a new song with Ed Sheeran called “Love Yourself”. The title of the song certainly fits in line with Bieber’s new focus on mental health. For the Biebers, having a second wedding should be no big deal, while the normal couple would be hurting just to pay for one!
We’ll keep monitoring the unfolding situation with the Bieber Wedding “take two”. Check back in for more updates.
Speculation: Justin Bieber may be collaborating with Kanye West. In a dimly lighted photo posted on his Instagram account, Justin is seen crouching next to Kanye with spotlights reflecting off the floor. Very artful. Bieber’s baseball hat is on backwards and his shoes are high end – not unusual. The caption is a quote from a song by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie called Drowning…”Every where that I go it’s a light show I’m surrounded bust down bust down bust down bust down bust down bish I’m drownin,”
It’s hard to know what is meant, but in a time when collaborations are the thing, the idea that this is a clue to Bieber’s next one is likely. He has recently collaborated with other pop stars including Ed Sheeran and Billie Eilish.
It wasn’t Cribs on MTV, but Justin Bieber aka Biebz gave his 100+ million followers on Instagram a look into his Beverly Hills home in his IG story. The home is valued at over $8 million dollars with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a wine cellar, a home theater, swimming pool, cabana, and a dog named Oscar.
Ok, Oscar wasn’t involved in the valuation of the home, but he’s in there. You can see him running around through Bieber’s story, pouncing on the bed in the massive master bedroom that Bieber shares with his wife Hailey Baldwin. She also makes the story too, but didn’t seem thrilled to be on camera in her PJ’s.
While his bedroom was messy, the house looks to be equipped with all the trimmings. Expect there to be some pretty rad celeb parties at the estate in the not so distant future. Check out Bieber’s insta story for a full tour.
Double Pops .. so fun they gave you more than one. Split it with a friend, or just crush em both in the same serving. A classic and versatile summertime snack for kids of the 90’s and early 2000’s, Popsicle’s Double Pops have taken a hiatus, but they’re back baby, and it’s all thanks to a bit of Bieber Fever.
Back in May, assuming he had some sort of a craving working, Justin Bieber tweeted at Popsicle asking them to bring back the famous sugar sticks. With over 100 million followers on twitter, Popsicle saw this as a great opportunity for some free marketing and market analysis. In response to Bieber’s tweet, Popsicle brought back a limited batch, but pledged that if their tweet got 100,000 retweets by July 23rd, they’d bring the product back indefinitely.
Twitter did its thing, and by July 21st, the benchmark had been hit. Ironically, July 21st was National Ice Cream Day in the U.S. as well. The publicity really couldn’t have gone any better for Popsicle. As a result of the successful promo, they’re #BringingBackTheDouble, and they’re letting you decide which flavors they should re-release. Orange, cherry, grape, or banana were the choices in their twitter poll, and if you were wondering which one Justin Bieber aka the Double Pop Savior wants, the answer is banana.
Have you ever had a Double Pop Popsicle from Popsicle?
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have grown up in front of the world. Now, as a married couple they are verbalizing the latest version of their public growth. In different ways each has expressed their view of an expanded family. On Instagram Justin has imagined “father-daughter dates” then as if to reassure his wife, he quickly added, “Not hinting at anything soon; I’m not in a rush. I just want to enjoy you by yourself for a while! Love dates with you, baby.”
In contrast, Hailey has been quoted by Vogue Arabia as saying that “she couldn’t wait to have her own kids, whom she hopes to give a ‘normal’ life. There are some ‘normal’ things I never did, like going to college, but I do think I was able to learn how to have a schedule, be on time and be responsible, all because I started working at 17…I love kids…I would say that’s now closer to reality.”
It’s clear that Justin and Hailey are not quite on the same page, but they are definitely in the same chapter of life, thinking about the same things.
Taking a page from Lil Naz X who re-ignited “Old Town Road” by releasing a version with Billy Ray Cyrus, our friend Billie Eilish has done the same with her hit “Bad Guy.” She lures Justin Bieber into her trap just as the song has reached its peak in the charts. The Bieber mix is slightly more driving, but only slightly. Billie lives in the dark space of the mind, Bieber brightens her world. Now “Bad Guy” occupies two positions on Spotify’s Top 10, one with, one without the Biebs. Adding new energy to a song that’s about to decline is a great strategy for keeping it alive. It’s another level of the collaboration strategy. As Billboard points out, both artists win from this combination. Billie associates herself with a legend of the time and the aging legend keeps himself connected to the newest shining star. All that’s left is to see if the strategy works, if “Bad Guy” swings back up the chart. Tune in next week.
Ed Sheeran hits the iTunes chart in early July with two songs “I Don’t Care” with Justin Bieber and “Beautiful People” with Khalid. They share one lyrical theme; social isolation, the idea that I’m a regular guy in a world of people who are better than I – very Ed Sheeran. They also share another element; an association with pop stars who stand in contrast to Sheeran’s nerdy persona. It’s a trick he used before on his last big hit “Shape of You” which featured Stormzy. In none of these cases do the collaborations add much to the songs beyond the associations.
What is the logic behind his collaboration strategy? The guess here is that is he feels his cerebral style is in competition with the more pop style represented by Beiber, Khalid and Stormzy and that to remain relevant he has to associate himself with the hipper generation.
The power dynamic is also interesting. By bringing in Beiber and Khalid, Sheeran has a chance to broaden his audience by reaching out to their audiences. It works the other way too. Note that Rita Ora brought Ed Sheeran into her “Your Song” as a featured artist. She’s reaching up, she’s the artist who could benefit from the Sheeran connection. In that collaboration, Sheeran’s guitar accompaniment could have been done by a hundred other guitar players. His only contribution is the association.
This is the age of collaboration. It’s interesting to note who’s getting the benefit from the combination – there doesn’t seem to be some musical advantage in many of them. Meanwhile, Sheeran doubles down on the strategy; on July 12th his next album releases, No6 Collaborations Project.
