Greta Thunberg Arrives at COP25 by Boat

Greta Thunberg, the famous, 16 year old, Swedish climate activist, arrived in Lisbon today after a three week journey across the Atlantic Ocean. She traveled by boat to avoid the high green house gas emissions that result from air travel.

Upon arrival at the COP25 conference, Thunberg emphasized that she was there to assure that leaders were hearing the voice of the people, describing her goal as fighting for future generations of humanity. The young woman’s passionate style has inspired many to new levels of concern over climate change.

The climate scorecard shows the UK leads the world in de-carbonizing its economy while Germany has led in increasing its renewable energy capacity. Overall, the world is losing ground against its goals as set forth in the Paris Climate Accord.
